Pointing into the Waves, Don’t Look Back

Created in 2017, Pointing into the Waves is a fiber sculpture of hand painted whole cloth cotton using MX fiber-reactive dye and discharge painting. The cloth is cut into pieces and sewn together into a sculpted organic shape. Shapes are layered together with upholstery thread, using traditional quilting techniques. When shown this work is 59×80.

Don't Look Back is a Graphite with Acrylic Mediums drawing on rag paper and is used to bring the story being told together. Don’t Look Back is 30×22.
